Coach Dr. Wilbon is an Athletic High School Championship Coach, Author of 5 Books, Retired U.S. Army Military Veteran of 24 years, Educator, Certified Motivational Speaker, and Mentor. His areas of military expertise included Logistics, Arms Room Weapons NCOIC, Contracting, Transportation NCOIC, and Central Issuing Facility NCOIC.

His educational journey includes being an alumnus of Central Texas College of Killeen, Texas; National-Louis University of Chicago, Illinois; Touro University of California; and North Central University of Scottsdale, Arizona. Coach Dr. Wilbon holds five educational degrees: an Associate in Arts, a Bachelor of Science, a Master in Education, a Master in Business Administration (MBA), and a Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership.

Coach Dr. Wilbon has been coaching for over 40 years and has won over 11 High School State and City Championships in public and Christian schools — in basketball and track and field, for boys and girls — and has coached over 1,000 kids. He is the founder and CEO of Wilbon Track and Basketball (WT&B), training kids ages 6 to 18 in the fundamentals of basketball and track and field.

Coach Dr. Wilbon is a strong advocate for educating and preventing bullying and for the motivation of education for youth and adults, as reflected in his books published on Amazon. He has been featured on The Michael Finkley Show, The Ashli Cotton Show, Conversation With The Guys with Coach Deborah D. Smith (airs on YouTube every 2nd Saturday of the month), The Ricardo Miller Show, Effective Living — The Logan Power Show, and was interviewed by Benji Cole on the People of Distinction CBS Show.

Coach Dr. Wilbon is also the proud father of Christian Wilbon — the track and field academic phenom featured on successisus in June 2025 for his 300 medals, 4 High School State Championships, 5.0 GPA, recruitment by over 30 Division I colleges with scholarship offers totaling $1.8 million, and becoming the first athlete in his school's history to be recruited and accepted into an Ivy League University.

Christian was also recently honored by the Charles County Commissioners as the Most Decorated Athlete in Charles County History — a historic distinction for the Wilbon family. Read the official announcement →
